It has been donkeyyyyyyy years since i blogged!

At last, i am able to find sometime to update about my life during the past few weeks.

Hmm...i shall start with CNY then. As usual, my family went to Grandma's house and had steamboat for reunion dinner on New Year's eve.

The following day, my family went to Grandma's house again for a gathering with the entire family, meaning those cousins whom i seldom see will come as well.

Of cos, the whole day was filled up with gambling, gambling and gambling again. Sad to say, i lost about 20 bucks. But never mind, i still had the utmost fun and enjoyed myself with my cousins, uncles and aunts terribly. Pictures ahead...

Cousins: Li Mei and Liling (from left). With myself and my sister.

My brother and my youngest cousin: Si Han. He has a Malay name too (which i do not know how to spell) bcos his mother is an Indonesian.

I rmb-ed when we reached Grandma's house, he started wishing everyone, saying "Gong Xi Fa Cai" in such a cute and adorable way. When i called out his name to pose for me, he immediately stared at my hp with his beautiful, watery eyes and posed with a "victory" sign without hesitation. Love him to bits!

Si Han was so excited when i showed him his picture in my hp and quickly posed for more! But, his pose was almost all the same. Haha!

Notice that the adults are playing Mahjong in the room. Actually, there is another table of adults mahjong-ing in the living room. Plus my cousins and i playing card games with a few uncles and aunts in the living room too. This explains why every CNY, Grandma's house will be full of gamblers.

My sis: Sharon and I. Oh ya. I forgot to congratulate her on entering Raffles JC successfully. She was so delighted about it and i felt very proud of her too.

However, this piece of good news may become stress and pressure for her in future as studying in Singapore's top 2nd JC along with other elites from her cohourt will not mean easy work for her. So, good luck Sis!

Similarly, the second day of CNY was full of gambling. But this time round, i managed to recoup my losses and won around 60 bucks. Shiok! It was definitely worth my time sitting on the floor for long hours. More pictures of my sis and me on the second day.

After CNY, attachment begins. Everyday was almost the same routine: Work, Lunch with colleagues or Jarad, Dinner with the guys and then Home.

On the first few days, work was unfamiliar and boring at times. I had to prepare my resume and be interviewed by my Supervisor even though i was already attached to that company for 2 months.

My in-charge also wanted me to come up with a format to tabulate the company's evaluation results of all their training programmes from Year 2006 to 2008. Initially, i didnt have any idea on how to go about it. But after Rubbish Bin's help, i managed to complete the assignment which was approved by my Supervisor.

Then, i had to take out the document files one by one, and key in the average values of every training programme carried out for the past 2 years. My in-charge gave me around 5 days to finish it, yet i took only 2 days to finish it. Yeah =)

After this assignment, the next one was to prepare all the materials needed for the training programmes which were to commence at SMU on Thurs and Fri. The materials include attendance lists, tent cards, concourse maps, evaluation forms, brochures, pens and certificates of attendance etc.

As there were 2 courses going on at the same time, i had to make sure that the training materials mentioned above were enough for every participant of both courses. Participants' names on the tent cards and cetificates also had to be really centre aligned or else, i will have to keep reprinting them, which i did so in fact. Haha =)

Mentioning so much about the preparation work above, actually the real fun started when i was able to go down to SMU and did training admin work there. For example, registering the participants upon their arrival, marking their attendance, clarifying their enquiries, providing the trainer with whatever she needed like markers and course notes, as well as making sure that the catering food which arrived were sufficient for all participants.

When we ensured that the participants were fine with the breakfast, my colleague and i went back to the office and continued our work all the way until 4 plus when we had to go back to SMU again to wrap up everything for the day, such as clearing the classroom, thanking the participants for their attendance when they left and asking them if they have any opinions or problems regarding the course, the food provided as well as our service.

It may sound like doing alot of odd jobs, but i enjoyed this job in fact. Cos i get to go out of the office and meet lots of people of different positions from different organisations.
I also get the opportunity to talk to them and understand what difficulties they are facing, in terms of skills and knowledge which they are lacking in their companies.

Then, i will have to recommend them some of the other courses which my company provides and encourage them to participate as well so as to bring their skills and knowledge to a higher level.

Well, guess im being too formal and longwinded here. Ha! I shall stop for now regarding my attachment.

Work will be starting in about 2 days' time and i really hope that i can conduct training admin job for the subsequent courses held at SMU again.

Off for dinner now. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee =)

Please allow me to make an announcement:

EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER! SHIOK!

Although i know i didnt do well for the papers, im still glad that they are finally over.

After the last paper on Friday, Bell and me went to meet up with Ricky, Jeremy and Franc at Queenstown Ikea. We had some food, like Ikea's all-time famous meatballs, non-stop refillable drinks and cakes too. But the fun thing is we chatted and gossipped about alot of things heavily over the meal.

Around evening, we left for town where Franc went off to meet his family. Meanwhile, Jarad and Shaun came to join us and we slacked at Taka's Coffee Bean while waiting for Alicia to arrive as she wanted to go drinking.

In the end, we settled down at Borders Cafe for some drinks. Jeremy went home first as he was not feeling well. Otherwise, we would be able to enjoy a 35% staff discount off the total bill as Jeremy was working there. Haha!

For our supper, not only drinks were ordered. Food like calamari, pizza and pasta were also included. After supper, all of us shopped around Borders for awhile before going home.

The following day, i met up with Renee at Kovan's bus stop. At first, we agreed to reach Karen's place at 11 but i overslept till 10.30. So, we only reached at around 12 plus.

Before going upstairs, Zhiming came to meet me as i borrowed a few VCDs from him for my mum who will be staying at home for quite some time. So, she needed some entertainment to kill the time.

Then, we went up to Karen's place and the 2 of them attempted to DIY their necklaces. It was quite a tough job, i must say. You need to be very gentle and patient with it. So, i guess an impatient person like me wont be able to do it well.

After some pictures, we train-ed to town and had lunch at Kobayashi. We had to wait for a very long time as the staff there kept telling us to go back to our seats and wait. It happened that their aircon was leaking and the floor was full of water. But i dont see any reason why bcos of that they cant take our orders, unless they were closing for the day.

But no, they were still operating, so i dont understand why they have to make all the customers wait so long just because their aircon was leaking. We were very pissed off, but didnt want to leave as we wanted to have the food there and didnt want to make things too easy for them. Evil, i know. Haha!

Finally, we managed to have our food and went for the movie: 27 dresses. It was a nice movie, and some parts were quite touching actually.

When the movie ended, we went shopping....again! Fortunately, the 3 of us managed to get our stuff and did not go back empty-handed.

Pictures were taken but they are still wif Karen. If possible, i will post them up asap.

Today, I went out again. This time, at Bugis with Dear. Initially, we arranged to meet at 1.30, but i overslept once again. Immediately, i changed the meeting time and so, he did not wait for too long. But still, im sorry Dear =P

Luckily, he was not mad at all. I treated him to Tako Pachi and he was so nice to buy me a grey dress, a 2-piece white and brown dress and a pink long-sleeved half cardigan too.

He also bought for himself a black Polo tee and a pair of jeans from Levis.

After getting our things, we bus-ed to my place and had dinner. Then, we watched some tv before Dear went home.

Now, i suppose my CNY shopping is more or less done. And and and, its the time to look forward to CNY now!

I can smell ang baos and ba gua coming =)
